Nice place to sit in the sun. Bar staff could possibly do with a knowledge of basic maths!
Looking at little tired and in need of a deep clean. Beer in good condition tho. Never tried the food but it looked very good. Menu was varied with things to suit all tastes.
We asked if they served champagne and the barmaid looked in the fridge and could not find any. She then told us they had a bottle in the cellar but it was warm. We then asked what rose they had and the barman plonked four bottles on the bar in front of us and went on to serve other customers which was a bit rude. We choose one bottle and he could not find a whole bottle so we choose another and he said he didn't have a bottle of that either, but I pointed one out in the fridge. The toilets were grubby especially the door and the pipes by the hand drier and urinal.
Cold, strange configuration of what could be a lucrative space, barn like. Is it a pub or cafe or more likely a working man's club??? Couldn't make sense of it. Food basic. Polite service
A great pub by the beach! Lovely menu and great selection of ales and wines, I had my wedding reception there and it was amazing, the staff are really good, knowledgeable and kind, the pub is really well kept. Highly recommended!!
