Based on the recent refurbishment.A perfectly good entrance has been removed and turned into a locked emergency exit. So you are channelled through the front entrance which is lethal underfoot when it's been raining. Probably better to add another few minutes to your travel plans though as sometimes the front entrance is firmly locked if the staff take the key home. (I kid you not) Roof leaks. Large pools of water throughout the concourse when it rains, so take care.You can't buy a paper.You can't buy a coffee.You can't go to the toilet.Sometimes you will struggle to buy a ticket.Pros: Thankfully you can get on a train! Which will at least take you away from this miserable hole of a station.A terminus that truly captures the term 'End of the line!'
Well, coffee shop is now gone but at least there are dew shops around. After refurbishment, looks better, cleaner and fresh! Regular station.
Following its recent refurbishment the station looks cleaner and more welcoming. However, gone is the coffee shop on the station and the toilets were locked, making it difficult for my two daughters. Luckily, or train came in so they used the toilet on that instead. The staff, in the station, weren't particularly welcoming, either.
Better looking since the refurb but now you have to walk all the way around to get in. Plus asked to use the toilets because as always they were locked but was told 'nah they're locked now'...they are locked every time I'm there. All to save walking 10 feet and turning a lock. Lazy!
Lovely comfortable bed. The reindeer sheets were fabulous. Only downside is all the people being fingered.
