Cheap and clean!!!!
When we arrived, it wasn't up to the usual standard you'd expect from Butlins. The flats were decorated inside to LOOK like Seaside Apartments but they weren't as nice as those in Skegness.There was wall paper cracked open in the double bedroom ceiling woodchip (probably due to a leak at some point). There was also a large crack in the paint on the coving above the kitchen table of the kitchen diner. There were no oven trays in oven.Only one toilet roll in the loo and no towels which we had to go to reception and collect.There was only one remote control for the two TVs.The fan in the bathroom didn't work.There was no spatula to cook with.No oven gloves. (I asked but they don't supply them...health and safety?)No washing basin. And the shower unit leaked!Having said all that, the staff were fantastic and everything was immaculately clean. Our cleaner brought all the missing things as soon as we spoke to her. She was very pleasant.

Apartment spelt of smoke, shower didn't work and one of the beds broken. Said they could only spray air freshener for smoke, and had to chase twice for bed. Staff tried hard (shower replaced immediately etc.) but disappointing having to find people to chase all the time and put up with the smell of smoke when we have a 6 month old.Also, although not permitted the bottom of the stairs is used every night as a makeshift smoking area. Means we cannot have our bedroom window open.
